Here in these Days

from Hymns in the Time of Lockdown by Pete Brazier

/

lyrics

1. Here in these days, O Lord most high,
Pour out your Spirit on the Earth;
Daughters and sons may prophesy,
Young men and old may see your worth.

2. May now each human who believes,
See dreams and visions of your way;
All kinds of people should receive;
pour out your Spirit in this day.

3. May men and women, old and young,
Be witnesses to all you do,
And shall your praise by all be sung,
In Christ who has made all things new

4. When prophets speak in words most wise
And signs are seen in humble care,
Then everyone with open eyes,
Will see salvation dwelling there.

5. Pour out your spirit once again;
Your broken people seeking grace;
Call out for freedom in your name,
To share your love in every place.
