Three in One, and One in Three

from Hymns in the Time of Lockdown by Pete Brazier

/

about

A hymn for Trinity Sunday.

lyrics

1. Three in one and one in three;
God is calling us to be
Part of an eternal dance;
See the hope of love advance.

2. One in three and three in one,
Dance the Spirit, Father, Son,
Calling us to share the love,
All around, below, above.

3. Three in one and one in strife;
Parent, child and breath of life.
God with us in troubled days,
Moving in mysterious ways.

4. One in three and three who knows;
Sun and moon and wind that blows,
Mother, daughter, river flows;
God is seen in all of those.

5. Three in one and one in love;
Tree and shoot and Holy Dove,
Calling us to rest awhile,
In the branches; stop to smile.

6. One in three and three in one,
Ever dancing, never done,
Calling us to dance and be
With the God who’s one in three.
